Baton Rouge Police are investigating the accidental shooting of a 2-year-old victim that occurred yesterday evening around 6:33pm at 5108 Jean St.
Travin Varise, 2, was accidentally shot as Terrance Varise, 18, 5108 Jean St played with a handgun. The 2-year-old was transported to a local hospital and later died from his injuries.
Terrance Varise was arrested and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for Cruelty to a Juvenile, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Negligent Homicide.
No bond has been set at this time.
This marks the 10th shooting death in Baton Rouge for 2013.
