EBR Sheriff Arrests Armed Robber Sunday
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office intervened in an attempted armed robbery Sunday afternoon and captured the suspect.
According to an affidavit, EBR deputies arrested Todd C.Moore, 38, 852 E. Versailles, Baton Rouge and charged him with attempted Armed Robbery.
Deputies were called to the Dollar General Store on Coursey Blvd. around 3:30pm in reference to an armed robbery in progress.
Responding deputies found Moore hiding behind a cash register inside the store wearing dark-colored clothing and a ski mask. Moore was armed with a pocket knife.
Deputies took Moore into custody, who admitted to attempting to rob the store to support his substance addiction.
Through research, investigators found that Moore is a suspect in several other armed robberies where the suspect was wearing similar clothing and ski mask.
Moore was booked on Attempted Armed Robbery and five outstanding traffic warrants.
He was transported to EBR Parish Prison where he is currently being held in lieu of posting bond.
